General objective:
This online course aims to teach about Valtra plantability, which aims at perfect planting, with each seed deposited in the soil and treated appropriately to produce its maximum productive potential.
Specific objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will understand the following pillars of plantability and their impact on precision planting and will be able to put these concepts into practice when operating Valtra planters:
- Population – Distribution of the correct number of seeds in the desired area, depending on the nutritional capacity of the soil and the use of the means offered by the planting equipment;
- Singulation – Capacity of the dispenser to individualize each seed;
- Spacing – Capacity of the dispenser to deposit the seed at the correct spacing;
- Emergence - Planter's ability to always place the seed at the correct depth;
- Fertilization – Planter’s ability to distribute the necessary amount of fertilizer to maximize productivity.
- Understand the concept of Valtra Connect telemetry.
